Vintage Riddell Kra-Lite II Football Helmet 1972 Washington Redskins Jurgensen

Rare Riddell Kra-Lite II TK2 helmet from 1972 as shown by the date stamp above the ear hole. Also, helmet is stamped with Kra-Lite II on the rear just as RIDDell did in 1972.

Nice large shell helmet with size 7 3/8 suspension includes all you see, with shell impregnated Redskins burgundy with appropriate striping, as well as iconic Redskins decals, and the most widely used facemask in history, the authentic Riddell BD-9 double bar facemask. Facemask also sports matching date of 1972 as shown.

Facemask is date stamped G 2 which is from 1972, the first year the Redskins wore this decal and striping. Helmet is customized as worn by Redskins fan favorite and all time NFL great quarterback Sonny Jurgensen as he led the Redskins during their glory days. This specimen also includes #9 in correct size and font numbers applied in correct position on rear.

Riddell Kra-Lite II helmets are a rare collectible in their own right, as they were only manufactured for a few years. Helmet also includes vintage RIDDell chin strap.
