Vintage Riddell 1972 Kra-Lite TK2 Football Helmet Cleveland Browns Gary Collins

Cleveland Browns Riddell Kra-Lite TK2 helmet from 1972, as shown by the ring date stamp. This was a Riddell lamp as described below, so all striping on the helmet is authentic and original team issued, and shows perfect amount of patina for nice display.

Helmet also includes original authentic RIDDell leather jaw pads, and the most famous facemask on the planet, the original RIDDell 2-bar BD-9! The mask is date matched from 1972 to the helmet as seen by the date stamp on the mask, and the RIDDELL trademark on both are matching as well.

To round out the package we have customized this beauty to represent the helmet worn in 1972 by All-Time Great and Browns fan favorite wide receiver, Gary Collins. We have even added Collins’ name in vintage Dymo tape on rear of the helmet just as the Browns used for several years. Throw on a soft cup gray two toned chin strap and you have an amazing vintage helmet!

This is possibly the nicest Browns conversion we have ever done! Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field!

Many of our helmets are vintage from the 1960's and 1970's. We offer many helmets manufactured by Riddell which were destined to be actual game used NFL helmets but before they could be shipped out to the teams, these helmets were used to make very collectible lamps for retail sale. These helmets had the suspension removed and were then attached to a wooden base with additional lamp parts attached.

We have removed these helmets from the lamp and installed a new suspension and padding into them and the result is a stunning and amazing vintage helmet with vintage authentic team decals and striping and Riddell 2-bar BD-9 facemasks.
