Vintage Riddell 1970s New York Giants Kra-Lite Old Football Helmet Lamp

Vintage New York Giants Riddell Kra-Lite helmet lamp from the early 1970s as shown by the “Kra-Lite” stamped into the rear of the helmet. Please see photos for condition. Riddell helmet lamps manufactured between 1969 and 1973 used actual game helmets which were made for the NFL teams. These lamps were available by mail order through The Sears Wishbook. When ordered, RIDDell simply removed the suspension padding from the helmet and replaced the rivets before assembling the helmet into a lamp to ship out.

This helmet lamp works just fine. Please note this helmet is almost 50 years old and we will not guarantee safety in operation. This beautiful piece of Americana came to us exactly as you see, and includes vintage striping, and decals, as well as the most widely used football helmet face mask on the planet, the vintage Riddell 2-bar BD-9 facemask. The paint is vintage and original from the manufacturer. Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field!
