Vintage Riddell 1968 RAC-H2 Kra-Lite Football Helmet Custom 1969 NFL Pro Bowl

Rare authentic original Riddell Kra-Lite RAC-H2 helmet from the 1968 as shown by the factory gray paint inside the shell and the presence of the Riddell date and model tags. Even though most of the information is worn away, this is the year this combination would have been found.

Helmet includes all of the rare Aero-Cell padding as shown in the photos. This padding was developed by Riddell to provide additional protection against concussions.

Nice helmet with size 7 suspension is customized to represent the helmet worn by many Pro Bowl players in the 1969 NFL East-West Pro Bowl game played in Los Angeles by adding appropriate white with blue side stripes and thin mil “NFL shield decals appropriately placed on sides of helmet.

How often do you get to find a Riddell RAC-H2 from 1968?

Helmet includes all you see, including vintage leather jaw pads, and vintage original Riddell two bar BD9 face mask. See photo of Pro Bowl for reference only.

The shell is painted gold over previous paint, which is how helmets were handled during the 1960s. Players who made the pro bowl brought their helmets with them to the venue where the game would be played. Then the day before the game, the helmet would be painted, striped, and Decals added.

This would make a great gift for any NFL fan.

Riddell Kra-Lite helmets are a rare collectible in their own right but to find an original from 1968 is absolutely amazing.
