Vintage Original Riddell 1972 Missouri Tigers Kra-Lite Football Helmet Lamp RARE

Vintage and original Missouri Tigers Riddell Kra-Lite helmet lamp from 1972 as shown by the “Kra-Lite” stamped into the rear of the helmet and the date stamp inside the helmet and on the facemask.

Riddell helmet lamps manufactured between 1969 and 1973 used actual game helmets which were made for the NFL teams. These lamps were available by mail order through The Sears Wishbook. NCAA college teams were by far the most rare of all the lamps. This is the only Missouri lamp we have ever seen.

When ordered, RIDDell simply removed the suspension padding from the helmet and replaced the rivets before assembling the helmet into a lamp to ship out.

This helmet lamp works just fine. Please note however, this helmet lamp is more than 50 years old and we will not guarantee safety in operation.

This beautiful piece of Americana came to us exactly as you see, and includes vintage team issued striping, and decals applied by Riddell.

The paint is also vintage and original from the manufacturer. Will make a stunning display, and the helmet looks like it is ready to take the field!
