Vintage Original 1940s 1950s Riddell RT2 Football Helmet Custom Baltimore Colts

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION!

This extremely rare vintage and original Riddell RT2, in nice adult size 7 Football Helmet, from the late 1940s-early 1950s, complete with original dog-ear leather jaw pads, old school 6-strap suspension and early Riddell rubber crown pad. Helmet has iconic 32-hole venting in top of shell.

This beauty has several cracks and repairs and has been customized to represent a Baltimore Colts helmet.

Based on shape and number of holes in the top of the shell, as well as consideration of the suspension, our best estimate would indicate this helmet was manufactured in the late 1940s to early 1950s.
