Vintage Game Used Riddell Kra-Lite-8 Suspension Football Helmet Detroit Lions

Very rare Detroit Lions game used Riddell Kra-Lite-8 football helmet, manufactured in 1971 as shown by the date stamp inside the helmet.

The original white shell was painted Lions silver on the outside of the shell and authentic thin mil Lions decals show attractive heavy wear!

Both the “RIDDELL” and “KRA-LITE-8” heat stamps are found on the rear of the helmet, and only a few Kra-Lite-8 helmets were manufactured during 1971, high is when that model was discontinued in favor of the Kra-Lite II.

This amazing specimen is a large size 7 3/8, and includes appropriate thin original team issued Fighting Lions decals, and also comes with an original authentic Dungard DG-140 large full cage facemask.

#75 is written inside the helmet for player identification purposes, and most likely points to this helmet being used by Jim Yarbrough who played tackle for the team during this era. See photos for reference only and not part of purchase.
