Vintage Clear Shell Wilson F2004 Suspension Football Helmet Georgia Bulldogs

Very rare game used Wilson F2004 clear shell suspension football helmet. That’s right! You read that correctly! All paint and center stripe is beneath the clear shell. This is truly an amazing helmet which is very rarely found in any condition.

Wilson made these helmets for several years during the early 1970s and there were several college and professional teams to use them. Unlike other clear shell manufacturers, Wilson didn’t usually put decals under the shell, so decals are on the outside of the shell, just like the Bulldogs wore them!

The color, striping, and decals are period correct, in the Decals show appropriate shrinkage for their age. Also has number seven written on inside sticker, which may indicate the players number who wore the helmet.

Nice adult size 6 7/8 helmet includes a vintage Dungard DG-210 facemask. This amazing specimen shows attractive game wear.

This is a very rare find indeed. Please note that we do not have any Providence to support this helmet, however, if we did, it would certainly be worth 2 to 3 times what we are asking for it. But it is consistent with other helmets used by college and professional teams of that era and it certainly looks the part of a Georgia game used helmet.

Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field!
