Riddell Classic Kra-Lite RK2 Football Helmet-

Very RARE Washington Redskins Riddell Classic RK Kra-Lite helmet, decaled as the Redskins wore in from 1970 through 1971. This is known as the “R” or “Lombardi” version, and is one of the more rare versions made by Riddell in this series of pro-line helmets. This decal is sometimes referred to as the Lombardi because after the legendary coach was hired by the Redskins to coach the team he changed the uniforms to be similar to the Green Bay Packers franchise he had led to 5 NFL Championships. This led to converting from the burgundy helmets to the gold you see here, with the “R” in the middle of the decal, similar to the “G” of the Packers. Unfortunately, Lombardi was diagnosed with cancer which prevented him from assuming his position. This helmet is also outfitted with an original RIDDell BT5 single bar facemask. Please note that we can add any number in appropriate size and font applied to the appropriate position on the rear. Very tough to find helmet. Don’t miss this one!

A classic step back in time! The classic shape of the Riddell RK's slightly flared shell and handsome metal rivets are complemented by the attachment of an original Riddell two bar facemask. These helmets are recently manufactured Riddell Pro-Line Authentic On Field helmets! The adult size 7 3/8 suspension webbing is identical to the original right down to the same brown thread that was used to stitch it together. Thin mil decals exactly as the originals, real leather jaw pads, gray toned strap and identical front style labeling makes this helmet indistinguishable from the original. They are painted gray inside just as the Riddell vintage originals from the 1960's, and also have the "KRA-LITE" and "RIDDell" trademarks branded into the rear of the helmet, unlike some other helmets you may find on the market these days which have neither.
