Riddell 1950s RT2 Vintage Football Helmet Black Under Clear Shell

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION!

This is an extremely rare vintage and original Riddell RT2, in nice adult size 6 7/8 Football Helmet, from the late 1940s-early 1950s, complete with original riveted in leather jaw pads, old school 6-strap suspension and leather crown pad. Helmet has one major crack, and iconic 32-hole venting in top of shell. We will also include the display styrofoam head.

Based on shape and number of holes in the top of the shell, as well as consideration of the suspension, our best estimate would indicate this helmet was manufactured in the early 1950s.

This beauty is painted black under the clear shell with white painted center stripe and has the Riddell trademark under the clear shell on the right rear side.

Please see pictures for condition. Black paint under the shell looks great and still shows through beautifully!
