Original 2-bar RIDDell BD-1 Suspension Football Helmet Facemask & Hardware

Recently manufactured and Original BD-1 RIDDell 2-Bar Suspension Football Helmet Facemask, made exactly as RIDDell made them in 1958-59. This very rare beauty has the appropriate RIDDell stamping just as the originals!

This facemask is famous due to it being the predecessor of Riddells’s famous BD-9 which had the additional vertical bars.

The vertical bars were added after the only year of the BD-1 because other masks would slide easily between the two bars of the BD-1 adding opportunities for injuries to the player’s mouth.

Comes with a full set of Hardware. This item fits all full size suspension helmets.
