Game Used NFL, Riddell Kra-Lite, and Miscellaneous Helmets: TAK-29 Vintage Riddell Kra-Lite II Dallas Cowboys Football Helmet Circa 1972- Harris

Absolutely amazing vintage Riddell TAK-29 Kra-Lite II football helmet from 1972. This helmet is white inside, and recently painted authentic Cowboys silver outside, with authentic striping and Cowboys “star” decals as used in that era. Helmet also has had a dino stripe added with the name “Harris” on it. This Riddell TAK-29 suspension helmet is a size 7 3/8, and has an authentic vintage Riddell BD-9 two-bar face mask, authentic vintage wildcat sweatband/nose bumper, and authentic vintage leather jaw pads, all original to the helmet at its manufacture in 1972, as indicated by the date stamp inside the helmet. This helmet will make a stunning display as it appears to be as brand new as opening day of the 1972 NFL season! The only way to get a helmet any closer to a true Cowboys game helmet was to be there in 1972 and get it from the equipment manager yourself. Riddell TAK-29 helmets are very rare as they have a set of air or liquid pads at the base of the neck to help prevent concussions. The TAK-29’s are the link between the pure suspension helmets of the 1960’s and the air and liquid padding helmets which came along in the early to mid 1970’s. What a great Dallas Cowboys collectible!
