Game Used NFL, Riddell Kra-Lite, and Miscellaneous Helmets: San Diego Chargers Vintage NFL Riddell Kra-Lite-II Football Helmet circa 1973, Fouts Rookie Year

This beauty is an authentic Riddell Kra-Lite-II helmet, circa 1973. Yep, that’s right, Dan Fouts’ rookie year. This helmet has a ring date stamp of ’73 inside the helmet above the ear hole. This is what his helmet would have looked like, and is about as close to the real thing as you can get without spending thousands of dollars.. This helmet is size 7 1/8, and has the rare thin-mil multi-layered decals, and correct size and font #14 on both sides, just like Fouts’ helmet would have had. The facemask is the correct Schutt style as worn by Fouts that year. This is a great old Riddell helmet that was game issue quality and is a very desirable display piece. This helmet shows minor scuffing due to normal wear of almost 40 years, and will make a great gift for that old die-hard Chargers or NFL football fan!
