Bob Lilly Autographed Stats RK2 Dallas Cowboys Football Helmet Authentic Paint

Please read entire description. Very rare, autographed full size RK2 style helmet which has been customized to replicate the helmet worn by All-Time NFL great and Hall of Famer, “Mr. Cowboy”, Bob Lilly in 1968. This is a “Stats Helmet”, and Autograph and inscriptions are guaranteed authentic as supported by the Beckett authentication decals on the rear of the helmet. This helmet was autographed at a private singing during March of this year (2021). See pictures of Mr. Lilly signing our helmets. Note that we hadn’t had an opportunity to complete the decals yet.

Due to timing difficulties we were only able to get four helmets (only two RKs) signed during this recent opportunity, and I have no idea when we will be able to replicate these beautiful collectibles.

This is a recently manufactured helmet, but you will not find this paint on any other helmets available on the market these days unless you purchase an authentic original Cowboys RK, and that paint will have faded to a certain degree. The paint we used on this helmet has been specially created by color matching an area on an original Cowboys RIDDell RK2 shell which has not been exposed to sunlight or elements since it was manufactured and painted at the RIDDell factory in 1968. As a Cowboys fan I have always desired to create this paint to match the game used Cowboys helmets of the 1960s when America’s Team’s helmet shell colors matched their shiny blue-silver pants! We then had to find the correct paint, as most paints these days are not suited to this effort. We have spared no expense in creating this truly rare and historically correct collectible.

This helmet also sports authentic leather jaw pads, and a full cage lineman's' Square Jaw NJOP facemask as Lilly is wearing in the photo. Schutt only produced this version of their lineman’s mask for one year due to the square bottom corners of the mask catching on the players pads when they turned their heads. This beauty has also been outfitted with iconic Cowboys multiple layered thin mil decals and striping of the Cowboys as RIDDell would have applied in 1968. The star decals are made by laying navy blue on white and then that onto the bottom navy blue.

Throw in the Cowboys' famous dymo tape with "Lilly" on the rear center stripe in appropriate blue color created by using a vintage Dymo-tape label maker and vintage original Dymo-tape, and you have a truly rare collectible.

Helmet is built to represent the famous 1960s configuration of the RK suspension helmet with 12-spoke suspension made with the same materials and colors as the originals, and readily recognized by the iconic flared ear shell accented by handsome metal rivets.
