TK2 Style Football Helmet- Houston Oilers Earl Campbell Rookie

One of a kind TK-2 style Football Helmet customized to represent the helmet worn by all-time great and Hall of Famer Earl Campbell of the Houston Oilers as he took the NFL by storm in 1978 as a rookie fresh off of winning the Heisman Trophy during his senior season at the University of Texas.

This is a representation of the helmets worn by the Oilers during 1978 as the red stripes are more narrow and further from the center stripe than other years. Please see photos for reference only. The Oilers were notorious for changing their helmet design in some way nearly every year.

This amazing specimen comes with all you see, including old school chin strap and one of the most widely recognized football helmet facemasks in history, the Schutt style NOP as worn by Campbell during his early years in the NFL.

Helmet has been customized with correct size decals of the Oilers, appropriate matching striping, and authentic vintage Dymo tape with Campbell’s name and number appropriately placed inside helmet as equipment managers might have done for identification purposes. PLEASE NOTE: we are not claiming this helmet was issued or worn by the Oilers or Mr. Campbell.
