Riddell Kra-Lite RK4 Suspension Football Helmet Baltimore Colts - Prototype

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION!

We have recently purchased a group of prototypes built by RIDDell for consideration of production near the end of their production of the Classic RK Series of throwback proline helmets! For some versions of a team’s particular style, as many as 3-4 helmets were built while for others there may have been only one or two. While we do not know which teams had what numbers produced of which versions, we do know these prototypes are indeed rare and never went into production. This is one of those prototypes.

Riddell Classic Kra-Lite RK4 Football Helmet-

Baltimore Colts Riddell Classic RK4 Kra-Lite helmet, with wrap around leather jaw pads, real leather 1940s style chin strap, and iconic “horseshoe” decals of the Baltimore Colts!

Helmet includes all you see, and represents the helmets worn by the Colts during this era, with the addition of the horseshoe decals above the ear holes.

A classic step back in time! The classic shape of the Riddell RK's slightly flared shell are complimented by the handsome metal rivets. These helmets are Riddell Pro-Line Authentic On Field helmets! The adult size 7 3/8 suspension webbing is identical to the original right down to the same brown thread that was used to stitch it together. Thin mil decals exactly as the originals, real leather jaw pads, and identical front style labeling makes this helmet indistinguishable from the original. They are painted gray inside just as the Riddell vintage originals from the 1950s-1960's, and also have the "KRA-LITE" and "RIDDell" trademarks branded into the rear of the helmet, unlike some other helmets you may find on the market these days which have neither. Do not settle for a substitute. Demand the real thing!
