Riddell Kra-Lite RK2 Painted Horns Football Helmet Minnesota Vikings Tarkenton

Authentic and original Riddell Classic RK2 Kra-Lite helmet with painted Vikings horns just like RIDDell manufactured for the team during the 1960s! That’s right- No decals on this amazing specimen!

This was accomplished by painting the shell white, then taping off the horns and painting the gold next, then taping that off and painting the entire helmet Vikings purple. Then the tape was removed to reveal the finished product. This process is tedious and requires much skill, but leaves a lasting impression!

This beauty has been customized to represent the helmet worn by All-Time Vikings great Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton! Helmet comes with all you see, including original Riddell BD-9 2-bar quarterback facemask and even has Tarkenton’s number 10 written in black felt tip marker on red tape placed inside on both sides of the helmet as equipment managers might have done for identification purposes.

Helmet is clearly stamped with “Kra-Lite” and "Riddell" on rear as all RIDDell Classic RK helmets, and comes with matching stamped Facemask and chin strap!

Riddell Classic Kra-Lite RK2 Football Helmet-

A classic step back in time! The classic shape of the Riddell RK's slightly flared shell and handsome metal rivets are complemented by the attachment of an original Riddell two bar facemask. These helmets are Riddell Pro-Line Authentic On Field helmets! The adult size 7 3/8 suspension webbing is identical to the original right down to the same brown thread that was used to stitch it together. Thin mil decals exactly as the originals, real leather jaw pads, gray toned strap and identical front style labeling makes this helmet indistinguishable from the original. They are painted gray inside just as the Riddell vintage originals from the 1960's, and also have the "KRA-LITE" and "RIDDell" trademarks branded into the rear of the helmet, unlike some other helmets you may find on the market these days which have neither. Do not settle for a substitute. Demand the real thing!
