Minnesota Vikings Painted Horns RK Style Suspension Football Helmet Jim Marshall

RARE custom, one of a kind recently manufactured helmet, made to replicate the Minnesota Vikings Riddell Kra-Lite RK2 helmets as worn by all the Vikings greats of the 1960s.

This gorgeous specimen has been custom painted with the Vikings’ iconic “Big Horns.” Notice how the horns sit near the top of the ear holes and near the front edge of the helmet, just as the Vikings horns wore before the team transitioned to the smaller horn decals in the 1970s.

This was accomplished by a painstaking painting process, resulting in the iconic Vikings horns and trim. This is exactly how Riddell produced these helmets back in the 1960s. There are no decals on this helmet like all the other Vikings helmets you find on the market these days. Just think how this gorgeous helmet will look in your office or den!

This helmet is also outfitted with a Schutt Cowcatcher bolt on NJOP style facemask as worn by All-Time Great and Fan Favorite Hall of Famer Jim Marshall during his rookie year! Please note that we have positioned and mounted this mask exactly as Marshall wore, and we have even used the exact hardware used by the Vikings equipment mangers. See photos of Eller.

Helmet comes with appropriate #70 written on red tape inside helmet above ear holes just as Vikings equipment managers might have done for identification purposes too! To round out the package we have authentic leather jaw pads and soft cup gray and white ribbed chin strap.

RK helmets offer a classic step back in time! The classic shape of the RK's slightly flared shell and handsome metal rivets are complemented by the adult size 7 3/8 suspension webbing which is identical to the original right down to the same brown thread that was used to stitch it together and makes this helmet almost indistinguishable from the originals. They are also painted gray inside just as the Riddell vintage originals from the 1960's!
