Los Angeles Rams Throwback RT2 Football Helmet 1949 Clear Shell Painted Horns

Rare and literally one of a kind Throwback Football Helmet, recently manufactured, and representative of the Riddell RT2 clear shell helmets of the Los Angeles Rams during the 1949 season. The Rams changed from their traditional blue helmets with gold horns to red helmets with gold horns for just the 1949 season, and then returned to the blue helmet with gold horns again in 1950.

Helmet comes with wrap around leather jaw pads, old school 6-strap suspension, and older style full leather chin strap.

This helmet was custom produced specifically to represent the helmet worn by the Rams in 1949 so you could complete your Rams helmet collection.

The same process used by RIDDell to produce these helmets for the Rams was used to make this amazing collectible. First the clear shell had gold horns applied to the inside. Next the inside was painted the appropriate shade of red as used by the Rams in 1949, and then a sealing coat of gray is added. Finally, the suspension is installed, and the results are so realistic you feel as though you have gone back in time!

The classic shape of the flared shell of the famous RT and RK helmets is unmistakable and is accented by proper material and stitching of the suspension, as well as the handsome rivets and old school chin strap.

Very tough to find helmet and is like new. Please see pictures. Looks like it is ready to take the field! Very rare and awesome display piece for any football fan! Don't miss this one.
