Game Used NFL, Riddell Kra-Lite, and Miscellaneous Helmets: New York Jets Authentic Vintage NFL Riddell Kra-Lite Game Football Helmet circa 1969

This rare beauty is an authentic Riddell Kra-Lite helmet circa 1969, before the NFL-AFL merger, and while the Jets were still in AFL and the same year they beat the unbeatable Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III. Please note the gray paint on the inside of the shell and slanted style of the Jets logos on the side of the helmet! Let's face it, there just aren't many of these helmets from 1969 left out there any longer. This helmet was manufactured by Riddell for use on the field, but ended up as some of the vintage authentic Riddell helmet shells did in the late 1960s and early 1970s, assembled into a Riddell helmet lamp. This helmet was removed from that lamp and recently received a size 7 3/8 suspension padding and authentic leather jaw pads, just like the original. The shell, thin-mil decals and striping are all original and from the original manufacture date. The facemask is an original 2-bar Riddell BD-9 facemask from the era. This is a great old Riddell helmet that was game issue quality and is a very desirable display piece. This rarely seen helmet will make a great gift for that old die-hard AFL or NFL football fan!
