Dallas Cowboys Rare Rawlings RTS Football Helmet Dorsett Schutt Green Dot OPO

Very rare and original Vintage Rawlings RTS “Noodle” size 7 1/4 Football Helmet from the Dallas Cowboys.

This is an original Cowboys team issued helmet, although we do not believe it was ever used in a game. The RTS was called the “Noodle” helmet due to Rawlings revolutionary use of large surgical tubing between the air padding and the shell to provide extra protection.

This helmet includes a rare complete set of original tubing and padding. Please note the original noodles are brittle and must be handled with care or they will break, but at this time everything on this amazing helmet is original. Helmet shows attractive minor scuffing from storage, and is dated 4-85, for April, 1985.

Helmet came to us without a facemask, so we added the original and Rare vintage Schutt OPO Green Dot mask you see here as shown in photos just like worn by All-Time great and Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett. Dorsett was the most famous Cowboys player to wear Rawlings helmets, and only wore the RTS for a very short time. To round out the customization we also added the appropriate blue dymo tape with Dorsett’s name and placed it appropriately on the rear of the helmet on the center stripe.

Vintage helmet has all that you see including rare authentic decals and striping from the Cowboys, as well as authentic rare Rawlings chin strap, and original jaw pads. Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field! Please note that we are not claiming this helmet was worn by Mr. Dorsett. This is rare item indeed, and is perfect for that Cowboys fan who has everything!
