Authentic Vintage Dallas Cowboys Rare Rawlings RTS Football Helmet Walker 1985

Very rare and original Vintage Rawlings RTS “Noodle” Football Helmet from the Dallas Cowboys.

This is an original Cowboys team issued helmet, although we do not have documentation it was ever used in a game, or which player may have used it. This beauty includes rare and authentic team issued decals and stripes.

The RTS was called the “Noodle” helmet due to Rawlings revolutionary use of large surgical tubing between the air padding and the shell to provide extra protection. This helmet includes a rare complete set of original tubing and padding. Please note the original noodles are brittle and must be handled with care or they will break, but at this time everything on this amazing helmet is in tact and original. Although the RTS was only made for a few years, it was a mainstay for several NFL teams and many star players.

This is a nice larger size 7 1/2 helmet just as many of the Cowboys stars from this era wore. See picture of Herschel Walker on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Helmet shows attractive minor scuffing, and is dated 7-85, for July, 1985. Helmet came to us without a facemask, so we added the original and vintage OPO mask you see here to match the photo, as well as vintage clips.

Please note that we are able to add the appropriate blue dymo tape with any player’s name and place it appropriately on the rear of the helmet on the center stripe. Just let us know whose name you want when you purchase this helmet.

Will make a stunning display, and looks like it just came off the field! Please note that we are not claiming this helmet was worn by Mr. Walker. This is rare item indeed, and is perfect for that Cowboys fan who has everything!
